Hoge Raad van Adel
Renovation of a mansion in The Hague 2019 / 2020
Renovation / restoration
Construction costs approx. € 750k
The Dutch Government Property Agency manages the monumental building in which the Supreme Council of Nobility resides.
The building was in need of a thorough renovation. Besides maintenance and repair, restoration work was also carried out.
In collaboration with PKW, ID provided the design and specifications, after which the project was put out to tender on a European level. As is to be expected with old buildings, this one also presented a number of surprises. This mainly affected the planning. Financially the project stayed well within budget. It was nice to see once again that there are expert companies that are able to deliver high quality. As a result the building fits its purpose well.
Tasks:
Overall project management design to completion, from design, tendering / procurement, planning, budgeting, cost control and quality control.
